Description
Columbus, the second largest city in Georgia, has a vibrant business community, numerous attractions and is home to Ft. Benning, the fifth largest military base in the world. However, as military travel has contracted with BRAC and an IHG Army Hotel with 850 rooms opened on Ft. Benning, the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau (CCVB) saw a 20% drop in occupancy and needed to implement a new direction for tourism recruitment. Independent research studies conducted for the CCVB and then updated over several years revealed that many Columbus visitors appreciated the numerous and growing outdoor adventures and activities that Columbus has been carefully curating over the last 10+ years. Armed with these findings, the CCVB invited several agencies to participate in a competitive review process and upon Stamp’s presentation of the “GO ALL OUT” campaign, the CCVB Board of Directors selected Stamp to take over the CCVB account as agency of record.
